To: rote you just before I walked into a press conference in Raleigh, NC.
First they ignore you, then they shutdown your Facebook account, then they write death threats and hit pieces, then you win.
The important thing is . . . we’re winning.
After releasing our investigation on North Carolina voter fraud this week, two important things happened.
First, a campaign manager featured in our investigation stepped down.
Second, a complaint was filed with the state’s Attorney General and an investigation was launched.
That has happened before, but this time, I think they’re taking it seriously as I was contacted by the NC Board of Elections yesterday afternoon.
In the past, such as in New Hampshire in 2012, rather than resolving the issues my investigations uncovered, they went after my colleagues and me.
New Hampshire’s governor called for my investigation while law enforcement officers from the state spent weeks following and harassing the family of one of our undercover investigators.
Thankfully, things have changed for the positive in the past two years. Thursday, I wrote you just before I walked into a press conference in Raleigh, NC. I was shocked to see that just about every news crew in the area was present.
This has never happened to me and I have to admit, it was gratifying. Campaigns, and political organizations spend millions upon millions of dollars paying for airtime on local television stations to reach the public. Project Veritas Action, in one day, was able to reach the public with our voter fraud investigation by earning the airtime rather than paying millions of dollars for that access.
That’s the value we offer to those who choose to support us, and it’s something I’m grateful for. And on that note, I can’t get into specifics, but I can say that our investigation into the 2014 Election is not over yet. That’s right, more to follow.
In the meantime, I need a small favor. I’m having a small problem reaching some other folks on our email list. If you can add this email address:
to your address book or contacts list, it would really help me reach more people.
Thanks so much,
