Lighting the Lamp of Liberty Press Conference, Sept. 17 – The OATH
…you raise a very interesting question…
Speaking just as one of the people, while I applaud you for taking the time to begin the educational process, I must admit my loss for understanding as to why a person running for public office as a sheriff is not already qualified to fill that position? Surely a candidate for sheriff must know for what commitments he/she is making when announcing candidacy.
We pay our public servants generously enough to know their jobs. If they are not educated well enough to perform the work of the people then they need to resign; otherwise, they are taking money under false pretenses.
It is not the responsibility of the people by whom they were elected to train them to honor their oath of office. Just telling it as I see it, there is a concerted effort by ALL public servants to ignore the significance of their oath.
From what I can tell, the public servants who are participating in the fraud on the people are being trained on how to side-step the issue of following their oath.
Listen for yourself. The pattern is the same. Deflect and redirect to someone else. Eventually wear down the citizen. But then you knew that Richard. After all you were a sheriff.
