Amnesty: Politicians Put Their Mouth Where Their Money Is
by LAWRENCE SELLIN, PHD February 7, 2014
News Flash – Republicans and Democrats do not work for the American people.
For the most part, the US government is a racket, a service that is fraudulently offered to solve a problem that may not exist, would not be affected if it did exist, or only exists due to the actions of government itself.
American politicians exploit the racket to run a swindle, taking money or property from someone by using lies or tricks.
One could successfully argue that many of those operating within our present political environment are in violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act (18 U.S.C. §§ 1961-1968) enacted into law on October 15, 1970.

Majority In Congress Are Millionaires
In general, Republicans and Democrats con voters into giving them the power to use the voters’ own money (taxes) for the purpose of rewarding themselves and the wealthy donors, who fund their political campaigns and provide them with post-government employment.
In her January 29, 2014 article “GOP crafts plan to wreck the country, lose voters,” Ann Coulter asserts that Republicans will commit mass political suicide if they support immigration reform, a euphemism for amnesty, the act of pardoning millions of criminals who entered the country illegally.
According to Coulter, amnesty will also benefit: the Democrats, who are well on their way to a permanent political majority; the ethnic lobbyists; the Chamber of Commerce; and other rich, powerful people who will now have access to cheap, unskilled labor to man their factories and solve their “servant problem.”
Coulter notes that the “only” ones opposed to amnesty are the majority of voters and the “only” ones who will be hurt by it are the millions of unemployed Americans.
If amnesty is clearly detrimental to the country and its citizens, then why would the politicians support it?
Because it is about power and the financial benefits politicians and their wealthy supporters accrue from it.
Democrats correctly conclude that amnesty could lead to a de facto Democratic one-party state.
Republicans correctly conclude that it will benefit their wealthy donors, but incorrectly conclude that it will increase the number of Republican voters, as Coulter argues.
Contrary to the conventional wisdom on the political right, Barack Obama was not the inventor of wealth redistribution. National elections are not about representative government or officials responding to the will of the American people. They are about the allocation of power between the two political establishments. The politicians then parlay that power into influence and affluence by redistributing the wealth generated by ordinary hard-working Americans to their political supporters.
The objective of both the Republican and Democratic establishments is the same; to preserve the political status quo, racketeering masquerading as government.
Their business models depend on exclusivity to power, spawned by money, sustained by political expediency and crony capitalism and maintained by crushing any spontaneous outbreaks of democracy among U.S. citizens.
Both parties have forgotten that the efficiency and effectiveness of government are dependent upon the trustworthiness of elected officials as representatives and executors of the views and desires of the American people.
For that reason, the Republican and Democratic Parties are on the path to political extinction. We should hasten their journey.
