Senator Barbara Boxer was just seen in video giving her comments about her opposition to a government shut-down. I don’t know what your opinion is on this matter, but I emailed her mine, below:
Dear Senator Boxer,
How does it help the people in America to be continuously burdened by debt?
How does it help the people in America when government can’t control it’s
spending policy and continuously borrows, in order to pay for it’s insatiable appetite for funding from a private entity that profits by these loans?
How does it help the people and their posterity in America that suffer from invisible chains of bondage under government’s assumed cloak of benevolence. Their lives, tokens payment for their labor, and worldly possessions, representing nothing more than a collateral holding, an item in inventory, that may be seized so that government may continue to feed in it’s frenzy of spending?
How does it help the people when they are bled by irresponsible bail-outs to corporations whose mismanagement of their own funds provided fertile ground to be rewarded with more OPM ( other people’s money) by an “easy come, easy go” policy of government that has led to the present crisis?
How does it help the people when year after year their cries to return this nation to solvency are unheard by their representatives?
How does it help the people when the private interests of large corporations are placed before the interests of the masses and the American people are led into undeclared wars with their brave and finest sons and daughters used as pawns in a political chess game?
How does it help the people to maintain and support a government that has decayed and rotted from within because it has departed from the principles that gave it birth?
How does it help the people when there is a government shut down? Government is not the answer. It’s the problem. It has shown that it is unable to fix itself. Like a fox in a henhouse will not spare a chicken, a leopard will not change it’s spots, or a scorpion will not sting, government will continue on the same path to self-destruct unless returned to the constitutional republic that founded it’s greatness.
Bring it on, if that is what it takes to clean house.
