Parent Alleges Criminal Misconduct by Katy ISD Human Resources Personnel
Once again, the “public comments” portion of a Katy ISD school board meeting proved to be more contentious than anything on the agenda, with at least two people being ejected by district police and several more leaving Monday’s meeting in protest.
The last speaker to be called, district parent Karen Schulman, used her time to take trustees to task for what she described as their inaction against several unnamed human resources employees who reportedly failed to report inappropriate contact between a male teacher and several female students as required by law.
Schulman also said, as a result of parent-filed complaints and an investigation by the Katy ISD Police Department, and now the three HR employees are “facing possible criminal charges.”
She also said the HR staffers were stonewalling the police investigation.
